Luyolo


Luyolo was established in 1901, these consisted of people who were moved away from the centre of town and mostly consisted of people classified as Black under the apartheid regime.  In 1964 a special committee iniated by the Simons Town Municipality with the Bantu Administration to remove people who for more than 60 years were living in Luyolo. Majority were forcibly removed to Gugulethu
